All schools will be closed again tomorrow, Thursday, January 9. Offices will open at 10:00 am. We appreciate the long and stressful hours that state, county, and town employees are working in order to clear the roads. Despite their very best efforts, the high winds and frigid temperatures continue to create significant challenges in making roads safe for school bus travel. Mrs. Ireland’s Pre-K 4 class is enjoying their winter fun! Here they are working on Christmas activities in play centers. They created snowmen and played snowmen bowling, created Holiday or Christmas art in creativity centers, and also made Christmas cards in writers corner! They also played a fun game in gym called: Turning on the Christmas Lights! Rolling dice and counting to know which light to turn on or off makes math a fun part of physical activity! #PESPantherpride

This week, we shine our PES Educator Spotlight on Mrs. Laura Ackerson! Mrs. Ackerson holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Bob Jones University, a Master’s in Elementary Education from Salisbury University, and certifications in LETRS Volumes 1 and 2 and the OG+ Reading Intervention.
