Word on the street was that we had a Gingerbread Man on the loose! Lucky for us Mrs. Glessner’s and Mrs. Ireland’s classes are on the case! They followed clues all over PES and in the end they were able to catch that sneaky Gingerbread Man! 🎄#PESPantherpride
Thank you to our Preston Panther PTO for a truly wonderful PTO Movie Night! Santa and Preston the Panther were in the house, and there were snacks, hot chocolate, coffee, cookies, and pizza for all! This week, our PES Teachers and Staff held an Underground Spirit Week! Our Panthers were VERY curious as to why everyone seemed to be doing the things we were doing! This week, we shine our PES Educator Spotlight on Mr. Justin Klein! Mr. Klein has taught at PES for 20 years and teaches 4th and 5th grade ELA, Science, and Social Studies. Mr. Klein holds a Bachelor's Degree in American Studies and a Master’s in Educational Technology. Mr. Klein is an active member of our PES SIP Team and continues to learn and grow as an educator at PES! We are so thankful that Mr. Klein has made the Panther Pride Den his home! #PESEducators #PESPantherPride

Materials for this event, including letters for Santa students to fill out, are in the newsletter, emailed to families, and have been sent home in student backpacks. This is a reminder that our PES Winter Concert will be on Tuesday, 12/10, at 7 PM at the CHRS Auditorium. Doors will open at 6:30 PM. We look forward to sharing music from our chorus, band, and orchestra this Winter and Holiday season!
Our Kindergarteners had an exciting day filled with learning and fun! 📚🍓 Thanks to the Maryland SNAP-Ed program, they participated in Read for Health and enjoyed making "Grinches" out of strawberries, grapes, and marshmallows—healthy snacks with a festive twist! 🎄🍇 Later, they kept the energy going in music class with Mr. List, exploring rhythms and melodies through play and creativity. 🎶✨

This week, we shine our PES Educator Spotlight on Mrs. Jennifer Piasecki! Mrs. Piasecki teaches Kindergarten and has taught for 10 years here at PES. She has an Undergraduate Degree from Salisbury University in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a minor in Geography. Mrs. Piasecki is also nearing completing her Graduate Degree from La Salle with a concentration in The Differentiated Classroom. Mrs. Piasecki plans to continue to teach our little Panthers! Our creative kindergartners went above and beyond to help their turkeys avoid being dinner! We had everything from Santa, Superheroes, French fries, a king and princess, an astronaut, a pizza man, a rainbow, a crayon box, and even Taylor Swift making an appearance! 🎨🖌️
