PES Presents RED Ribbon Week that will run from 10/24 to 10/28/22!
Monday: Kickoff Red Ribbon week by wearing red
Tuesday: Team up against drugs by wearing your favorite team
Wednesday: We're too bright for drugs, wear neon or bright colors
Thursday: PES unites against drugs, wear PES gear
Friday: Follow your dreams, wear PJs or comfy clothes
We will be raising awareness about the importance of positive choices and staying drug and alcohol-free throughout the entire week! We are hopeful everyone has time by advertising this spirit week early to get ready to show your support for Red Ribbon Week!



PES will be honoring the Hispanic holiday of Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. This celebration is a happy holiday focused on deceased loved ones, keeping their memories alive, and celebrating the continuation of life beyond the one we live here on Earth. We are inviting all students and staff to bring in one picture of a loved one who has passed to be displayed on our school wide ofrenda. Photos should be turned in no later than Friday, October 28th. Please write your student’s name and homeroom teacher on the back of the photo so it can be returned.


Walk to School Day is postponed until tomorrow, Wednesday, 10/5 due to the weather. Thank you for your understanding and we hope for better weather!

Attention all PES Families: Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 4th, is our Walk to School Day Event! We are looking forward to celebrating Walk to School Day starting at 9:15 AM, when grades Pre-K through 5, and the PES staff walk from PES to James T. Wright Memorial Park and back. In the event of inclement weather the event will be rescheduled for Wednesday, October 5th at 9:15 AM.

A massive, thank you to our PES PTO for providing these snacks! We survived a month of school, and our PTO wanted to show their appreciation and thanks for all the hard work our teachers and staff do each and every day! We appreciate it and we appreciate our PTO! #PESPantherPride

How cool is this idea? Media Specialist Ms. Blackmon had students create artwork on library card holders! Students will put their book reviews in them and take them home at the end of the year.
