In order to make up for the change in schedule caused by inclement weather, Monday, Nov. 7, will now be a half day for students. We apologize for the inconvenience to families; however, this adjustment provides teachers the time required to finalize grades. As a reminder, half days of school do not impact the overall school calendar.
Due to fog in the area, Caroline County Public Schools will be operating on a two hour delay this morning.
Today was scheduled as a half day of school. Because of the delayed opening, it will now be a FULL AFTERNOON of school with dismissal at the usual time.
This week is Community Helper’s week in our Pre-K program! Mrs. Hope and Mr. Kovach came into Mrs. Glessner’s Pre-K 4 class to talk about their jobs and share their experiences with our students. #pespantherpride

Please mark your calendars for Friday, November 11! PES is proud to announce the return of our traditional Veterans Day Assembly. This event will be held at 2 PM in the PES cafetorium and will be open to all PES Families. This event will be a part of our larger Grandparent Day, also planned for November 11. We will also be having a Book Fair Afterschool Buy event on Thursday, November 10, from 4:00-5:30 PM here at PES. Information will also be sent home with students this week, emailed, and included in our newsletter. Students can either pair with cash, a check, or using the eWallet platform from Scholastic. PES is happy to announce Grandparent Day and our traditional Veterans Day Assembly will take place on Friday, November 11. Grandparent Day will run all day, and all Grandparents (or those who serve as that special person in a student's life) are welcome to attend. Just like for Parent Day, we are offering pre-Raptoring and encouraging any attendees to visit PES before November 11 and complete the Raptor process with our front office staff. Pre-registration is not necessary to attend, but all attendees will need to Raptor for admittance to Grandparent Day.
We are also very proud to bring back our Veterans Day assembly! The Veterans Day assembly will begin at 2 PM, and all PES families are welcome as well as any of our service men and women in our community. More details specific to the Veterans Day Assembly will be coming soon.
We celebrated the last day of Red Ribbon Week with a PJ/Comfy day! Thank you to all of our students and families for participating and showing that PES is commited to the power of positive choices and saying no to drugs, alcohol, and negative influences!
