PES Newsletter

Dear PES Families,

Our newsletter can be accessed here.

Hello, we hope everyone is doing well! Please be sure to read our newsletter in full for all of the latest PES news.

Our annual summer mailing for the beginning of the 2023-2024 School Year is going out this week, and many of our families should have already received this information. This mailing includes class assignments, welcome-back letters with details about changes at PES, our PES Home School Compact, a CCPS calendar, and a school supply list for your student's grade. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call PES administration or send an email. We have also included a digital version of the welcome letter in this newsletter.

In this newsletter, we also have the information needed for our families in need to sign up for the food weekend backpack program. If you are already enrolled in this program you do not need to sign up again. This information will also be posted to our CCPS app and our Facebook page.

PES will be holding our annual Title I Summer Information Night on Wednesday, August 16th at 5:30 PM in the PES cafeteria. There will be snacks and light refreshments for all as the focus of the event will be to provide information on Title I funding at PES for the 23-24 school year.

Soon we will also be starting our advertisement for our annual Meet the Teacher event, which will take place at 2 PM on Thursday, August 31. Please save the date!

Please be sure to download the CCPS App from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store as soon as possible. CCPS and PES are using our App as our main method of communication. It is a hub for news, posts, emails, calls, and more that enables our families to stay up-to-date on all the latest CCPS news.

Important upcoming events included in this newsletter are:

  1. Title I Information Night - 5:30 PM - Wednesday, 8/16/23 @ PES
  2. Meet the Teacher - 2-3 PM - Thursday, 8/31/23 @ PES

Transportation - It is stressful when your child’s bus is delayed. When a delay is experienced, our first priority is to ensure student safety and correct the issue causing the delay. However, we will make every effort to send a CCPS App call or email to advise of a delay. Please make sure your contact information is accurate by calling our front office staff with any changes. Please also see this newsletter for Car Rider Line Tips!

Health & Wellness - Please be assured that the staff is here to help in any way possible. If you or your student would like to speak with a school counselor, administrator, or staff at the School-Based Health Center, please just ask. We have the resources at hand to ensure students have a healthy and successful school year.

If you have any questions related to the happenings at PES please reach out to me via email (angeloni.antonio@ccpsstaff.org) or by calling the school directly.
