Sharese and Taryn both participated in this program and will be attending college in the fall. Sharese will attend Bowie State University and Taryn will attend the University of Maryland! As a school counselor at CRHS, Mrs. North has helped countless students from Federalsburg and Preston stay in school, graduate, and move on to college and careers. #ColonelTOUGH

Welcome to our new social studies teacher, Ms. Jenna Towers! She is #homegrown, graduating from CRHS in 2017. She graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in History and Secondary Education in 2021. She has spent the last two years teaching 6th and 7th grade social studies at Lockerman Middle School and is very excited to return home! In her free time, she loves to travel, go to concerts, read, and hang out with family.

We're happy to announce that our new special education teacher will be Ms. Madison Moxey! Ms. Moxey has been on staff as an instructional assistant and just finished her bachelor's degree in special education at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She lives in Centreville, and in her free time, she enjoys going to watch her sister's college basketball games. She loves being outside, taking her dog for walks, and riding horses. #ColonelTOUGH


Welcome (back) to our new math teacher, Mrs. Alyssa Haldeman! This will be her 19th year as a high school math teacher, and she LOVES what she does! For the past two years, she taught in Delaware, but the rest of her career has been with CRHS. Mrs. Haldeman lives in Bridgeville with her husband, daughter, son, and two fluffy dogs! In her free time, she enjoys vacationing with her family, watching her son play baseball, and participating in a handbell choir with her daughter. She is so excited to be returning to this community!

Welcome to our new PLTW Engineering teacher, Mr. David Newberry! He grew up on Kent Island and graduated from Queen Anne’s County High. He has a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Salisbury University and a master's degree in Teaching from Bowie State University. This will Mr. Newberry's 11th year in teaching, and he previously taught special education. He resides in Preston with his wife, two sons, and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys crabbing and fishing on his boat on the Choptank River! He is excited to join the ranks of great CRHS teachers and grow the interest for the engineering field!

Welcome to our new assistant principal, Mr. Thomas Mills, III! Mr. Mills earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Washington College, a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Delaware, and a post-master’s certificate in educational leadership from the University of Phoenix. He taught chemistry, physics, and physical science for 14 years at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School and for 4 years at North Dorchester High School. He was named Dorchester County Teacher of the Year in 2015. Mr. Mills served on numerous school, district, and state leadership committees such as the school improvement team, faculty advisory council, secondary task force, and the Maryland Integrated Science Assessment (MISA) content review committee. He is excited to serve as assistant principal of CRHS and looks forward to working with the students and staff!

Congratulations to the American Legion Caroline Post 29 baseball team for winning its third Eastern Shore League title! The team competed in the state tournament, going 2-2 and ending the season with a 10-7 record. This team is managed by CRHS assistant baseball coach and CRMS principal Mr. Neil Lambert and features former and current CRHS baseball players including Trent Breeding (sophomore), Jacob Cohee ('22), Josh Cohee ('22), Derrick Mitchell (sophomore), Kenton Robbins (sophomore), Zack Robbins ('22), Jack Walls (sophomore), Carter Walters ('23), Gavin Whitby (senior), and Hunter Wolfe ('22). #ColonelTOUGH #homegrown

Congratulations to graduating seniors Austin Alexander and Saleta Nichols for being awarded Jake Schertz Academic Wrestling Scholarships! These scholarships are awarded to Bayside Conference wrestlers who excel in the classroom and on the mat. Austin will be wrestling at Alderson Broaddus University and Saleta will be wrestling at East Stroudsburg University next year!
This award is in honor of Jake Schertz, a former wrestler at Wicomico County High School who was tragically killed in an accident shortly after graduation. The Schertzs honor his memory through this program, and we are honored to have two winners! #ColonelTOUGH #classof2023
