Halloween Plans 10/29/21

<< Back to PES News

Dear PES Families,

Next week is Halloween and we are very excited! All of this information will also be shared on our Facebook page, newsletter, weekly call, and website blog this weekend. However, to make sure everyone has this important information I wanted to share it in its own email first before the rest of this week’s communications go out. Our Halloween festivities will be next Friday (which is a half-day of school), 10/29/21. Below is all the information you will need.

Parade Times and loop:

  • Pre-K 4 to Grade 5 – 9:30 to 10:00 AM

    • Line up starting in right field with Grade 5 then all the way to Grade PreK-4. Grade 5 will begin by walking past all the other students, with other grades following making 3 loops around the ballfield so parents and families can have time for photos.

  • Ballfield in back of the school

In case of inclement weather, the parade will be canceled and NOT rescheduled.

Parents/Families staged:

  • Around the ball field and grass field next to the ballfield. Reminder: masks are recommended to be worn if social distancing is not possible for attending parents/families, PES students will be required to wear masks during the parade since social distancing will not be possible while walking.

  • Parents and family members are not permitted to attend class parties

  • Please park on the side and front of the school and only attend your student’s parade time if you plan on coming.

  • Parents can start arriving at 9:00 am for the parade and wait outside at the staging area.

  • Students should come dressed in costume

  • Teachers will NOT assist with make-up or getting students dressed in a costume

  • Costume masks may not be worn on the bus or in school – only during the parade

  • We ask students do NOT bring props – No toy swords, laser blasters, etc.

  • We ask that students refrain from overly scary masks. We have very young students at PES who made find such images startling or scary

Class Parties:

  • Teachers will be sending home grade-level specific information to families

  • Students may send in food – must be store-bought – no homemade or hand-wrapped products please.
