Dear PES Families,

PES Parent Panther Update: https://www.smore.com/9a1nr

Hello! I hope everyone is having a fantastic Memorial Day weekend!

This week we have multiple important updates for you, and reposts of information that remains current. Please read the newsletter in its entirety.

We are excited to welcome the Tenchi Food Truck for a fundraiser for PES on June 9, 2021! They will be out front of PES from 11-1 PM on 6/9/21 and 20 percent of all proceeds will directly benefit PES! We want to thank Tenchi for making this possible and for their generosity as they continue to support Caroline County Public Schools! Please see the flyer in our newsletter for details and the menu!

If you have media center books please return them ASAP to Mrs. Blackmon. If you are a virtual learner you can return them to the front office.

Planning for our Title I application to the Maryland Department of Education process has begun. We are asking for your input on engaging families for 2021-2022. Please complete the following online survey: CCPS Title l Parent and Family Engagement Survey, Spring 2021 by June 30, 2021.

Attention all PES Families: The mask mandate for all CCPS schools remains in effect for all staff, adults entering the building, or students aged 5 or above. Please see the press release in the newsletter below for information on all CCPS mask policies.

Band and Chorus students please pay attention to Mr. List’s emails for important information about upcoming band and chorus in-person and virtual practices/lessons.

Grade 5 students this coming Wednesday, June 2nd, we will have a virtual PES/CRMS 5th Grade Zoom Information night for all 5th graders moving up to CRMS and 6th Grade. This information will also be on our FB page and has been sent home via phone call and email. Please also see the attached flyer for details.

5th Grade parents, Mrs. Juli Walls and Mrs. Emily Sherman, and the 5th-grade team are actively planning this year’s 5th-grade event. This event will be an in-school event only and for students only this year due to COVID-19 and the safety of our staff and students. Information has been sent home with details about this end-of-year event for your 5th-grade students, including an order form for t-shirts! This information has also been posted in student Google Classrooms for virtual learners.

Enrollment for next year for new students has opened, please see the press release in the newsletter for details.

The last day for students will be June 11. Please see the press release in this newsletter for more information.

Have a great weekend!
